Website Use

Visitors to the QuIC website are not required to provide Personal Information and are not personally identified unless specifically prompted for Personal Information. IP addresses of visitors are recorded as a standard operative function of our server and related software. Using Google Analytics, QuIC monitors traffic patterns, site usage and related site information to diagnose server problems and administer and modify our website. You should refer to the Google Analytics website to learn how they collect and use information. You can find Google Analytics Privacy Policy here. Links on our website to other sites shall not be governed by this Policy unless otherwise specifically stated.

When an individual voluntarily provides QuIC with Personal Information through one of our online web-forms or uses one of the mail-to features on our website the consent of that individual will be deemed to the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Information by QuIC in accordance with this Policy; and the individual consents to and accepts the exclusive application of relevant British Columbia or Alberta provincial privacy legislation and applicable Canadian federal privacy legislation to the Personal Information, depending on the circumstances. Please note that while QuIC implements security protocols as described in this Policy, the transmission of data over the internet by an individual to QuIC is not secure and the individual accepts all risks associated with that transmission of Personal Information.

This Policy and other QuIC privacy policies and procedures may evolve and change over time without advance notice, including due to changes in applicable privacy legislation. QuIC will post changes to this Policy on our website or make such changes available through the QuIC Privacy Officer so that individuals continue to be aware of QuIC’s commitment to protecting and utilizing Personal Information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
